Attention!

Hey people, just dropping in to tell you not to panic if ever the site's template goes all crazy for the next month or so. We're planning a redesign of the blog because hey, let's face it, it look damn ugly right now. If anything weird happens, just mosey away for a few minutes (3 to 5 at most) and when you come back, everything should be back to normal... Unless we actually finish the template and you just find it looks bad. In that case, you'll just have to deal with it while we point and laugh at you for having horrible taste.

Im in ur webz stealin ur songz

Mustapha 3000 - Kongo Thong - Musatapha 3000 (Erol Alkan for those who do not know) gives us a nice banger. Cool sample from Cisco or idontknowwhatlamehiphopartistofthe90's. I like that track.

Speaker Junk - Close your eyes
- B-side of the amazing Foxxy Lady, you know that awsome remix of the Jimmy Hendrix song. Anyways, the b-side is not as amazing but it sure is cool.

Dizzee Rascal - Pussyhole
- New Dizzee. The beat is ratter simple, but godamn efficient.

Le Castlevania - Trouble In Daylight (Surface2Air Remix) - Cool electro sound. Cut-up vocoder voice, a synth with distortion to the max, and of course : The cowbell.

The Bloody Beetroots - Ezekiel Eats Red Hoodie - Dunno if i posted that thing already, and i'm too lazy to find out. This song rocks. It really does. I just like the global feel of it.

Camille - Ta Douleur (Al Usher Vocal Mix) - Usually i don't like Camille, i can't listen to that. But this remix made me swallow the pill. Really nice job.

Holy Hail - Born Of A Star (Adventures Close to Home Remix)

Klaxons - Gravity's Rainbow (Kavinsky Remix) - Best Kavinsky song yet? man this remix is fucking cool. Kavinsky has always bored me with the 80'-ish electro, but with this he diserves some props.

Ah those damn brits

I <3 Pedro

Meh

Oh boy i'm tired, last night was fun, but oddly the crowd wasnt into it that much. Anyways... here are some songs:

D.I.M - Airbus Baby - Wow.... i think i have to change all my windows because the bass just cracked them all up. I know Mischief Mayhem had some trouble with Turbo for posting the song... Mail me if you think i should put it down. Anyways, cool song, great vibe, perfect to throw in the middle of a party if you have good subwoofers.
*REMOVED UPON TURBO'S REQUEST*

Cajuan - Dance/Not Dance (Digitalism Unreleased Mix) - Cool alternative version of the awsome Dance/Not Dance remix. Less punchy, but its nice.

Dj Mehdi - Lucky Boy (Surkin Remix) - The young prodigy remixing Dj Mehdi's lucky boy. This was released on Ed Banger on Mehdi's Lucky Girl Ep. Get this.

Vicarious Bliss - Electroluxe - Very Daft Punkish track, it has a very nice abrasive feel. I like it, at least for now.

Justice - D.A.N.C.E. (Plus Move Pirate Remix) - Yup..... this is like the Faex re-edit of Phantom, it only shows how much fun you can have with a proper DAW and a myspace rip. Less disco, a bit more electro. Nice job.

Uffie - Pop The Glock (Solakov Fake Outlet Remix) - This must be rather "old" but whatever, i just discovered it. Fun remix, strange ambient strecthed distorded bass, i like it. Uffie sucks monkey balls, but the remixes are in general pretty cool, and the production behind Uffie is great. But man... Uffie sucks as a Mc or as whatever she calls herself. Saw her live once... sucked. She is nothing without Mr Oizo or Feadz behind vocoding her godamnawfulshitty voice. Sorry sorry i got angry *breaths* ok ok next

Simian Mobile Disco - It's the beat (the teenagers remix) - Nice, really nice. The Teenagers, started as a myspace curiosity (like more and more acts now), but since w or 3 singles you can feel its really starting to go somewhere now. And thats cool because those guys have talent. Anyways, the remix is nicely done. Definatly waiting for their next move.

White Noise - The Things We Do - Heavy dirty mean electro comming at you like a train in a car stuck on the railroad. It even has an over-distorded guitar solo to enhance the feeling. Exausting! : D

Martin Brothers/Clipse - Stoopit/Wamp Wamp (Red Foxx Chopped n FX Edit) - Nice Mash-Up, the acapella is all glitched up and it sounds great. Lovin' it.

Young Buck, Game, Ludacris - Stomp (Ratatat remix) - Yup, found another one. Really cool stuff... i cant wait to have the CD.

Ratatat *updated* *UPDATED*

I can't wait for this to come out.... i really can't. The vol. 1 was really nice now here is a sneak peek of what Ratatat has been plotting :

* I just found another one :
*UPDATE 2*

.

Escape

The Black Ghosts - Anyway You Choose to Give It (Boy-8-Bit Remix) - With Face, The Black Ghosts started to get a name, now with the new single Anyway You Choose to Give It they are making us understand they are here for a lilttle while.

The Black Ghosts - Anyway You Choose To Give It (Playgroup Dub) - Nice other remix done by Playgroup. What a killer bass! my house almost colapsed.

SebastiAn - Head/Off (Faex Rework) - SWEEEET! amazing job done by Faex. This track feelsgood and heavy. Monstruously fascinating.

Scissor Sisters - Shes My Man (Goose Remix Edit) - Perhaps one of the most agressive electro i've heard in while. Watch out for the brain damage. Goose gives us a very nice demonstration of their skills. Ah! those crazy belgians!

Pharell (ft. Jay Z) - Frontin' (Starkey Remix) - Remember the remix of Throw Some D's by Starkey? well he's at it again with this nicely done extreme makeover. I like it.

Loot & Pillage - Click Clack - This is what is comming back over and over again in my PLs at the moment, dunno, I really enjoy playing that track in slow bpm. But what's fun is to fuck with it by adding acapellas, works like a charm.

Killdahype - Révolution - I posted the stunning remix of Around The World last time. Now i upload some of their original work. Revolution is one angry mean song. Lovin' it.

Jacknife Lee - Making Me Money (Switch Remix) - The new Switch. "I really love it, it's Making Me Money" damn right it is. Great stuff like always... i haven't heard one bad production from this guy... MAN i can't wait to see the dude next week end, its gonna be oh so sick!

The Sunshine Underground - Borders (GoodBooks Remix) - Dreamy and groovy remix. GoodBooks generally cook good stuff anyways.

Para One - Severed God Limbs (feat. Busdriver) - I just discovered this song on the Club Hoppn EP. And for me it's a great moment. One of my favorite MC meets one of my favorite producer... Never thought those two guys would get together. Anyways. Don't be scared by Busdriver's flow, I assure you he is human and mortal.

Teenage Bad Girl - Cocotte (Boys Noize Rework) - ................ Does anyone remember Robot Rock by Daft Punk? because...... its kinda similar, well with a more dirty sound and and little synth melody. Don't get me wrong, i like this remix, only I find a top notch electro producer like Boys Noize could have done a little bit more original. But i still really enjoy that remix, im just pointing things out.

Teenage Bad Girl - Cocotte (Hystereo rebrand) - Distortion + drumkit + Synth = Dancefloor violence goodness. nuff said.

Beyond The Wizzard's Sleeve

What is Beyond The Wizzard's Sleeve?
it's a band composed of Erol Alkan and Richard Norris

You probably know Erol.... if you don't you really don't listen to much electro.... or at least not the good electro. The guy is a legend. One of my fav Dj.
Richard Norris is a producer, engineer and musician and is part of several bands : Droyds, The, Further, Gold Star, Grid, The, Jack The Tab and Moon Unit

Anyways.... this as nothing to do with big electro sound, its not even close from electro. It's all about rock.

here is a tatse of their work:

anyways... i cant wait for their album to come out
in the meantime i'll be lurking their myspace page

.

I KNOW I DONT UPDATE ! I KNOW I SUCK!

OK OK here is the tracks ive been collecting during all that non-updating time:

The Scanners - Bombs (White Lights Jhn Rdns Nvr Hpy Edt) - John Redden, the same dude that made that wonderful remix of Justice's legendary Waters Of Nazareth that I blogged several weeks ago delivers another wonder. I mean...... try NOT to clap your hands while hearing this! A+ work

Chromeo - Fancy Footwork (Thomas Barford Remix) - Chromeo is returning from the dead, i haven't heard from them in a long time. Fortunatly they are back. Thomas Barford gives us this cool remix. Sounds pretty!
*REMOVED UPON TURBO'S REQUEST*

Digitalism - TVTV - Brand New Digitalism, it's a total BOMB. I really can't wait to see them live on march 22nd!!!! Ich Liebe Digitalism !

Klever - Kryptobounce - I really love that song, BMore at its finest. This remix of Kryptonite (I'm on it) by Klever is one of those catchy tunes you can listen over and over and over again until you want to barf.

M.I.A. - Bird Flu (Crash Berlin Remix) - Hot remix of the new M.I.A. track (warning : may contain traces of chicken samples) (seriously!)

Yo Majesty - Club Action (Chris Bagraiders Sailing to Baltimore Edit) - WOW just WOW, when i hear that track in a party i start to jump everywhere. Wonderful job done by those crazy aussie guys, the Bagraiders. SAIL AWAY SAIL AWAY SAIL AWAY FUCK THAT SHIT NIGGA. Priceless

Acid Jacks - Awake Since 78 (Boy 8 Bit Remix) - I Think everyone knows the mindblowing remix of that song by MSTRKRFT, well here is the Boy 8 Bit's take on that song, and boy! thats good!

MSTRKRFT - Street Justice (MSTRKRFT 2007 Remix) - "Killing on the dancefloor, WHAT, Killing on the dancefloor, its just a killing on the dancefoor", man you're godamn right! its a fuckin massacre. I first heard that song when MSTRKRFT went to Montreal (oh boy what a party) and i really wanted to find it. Found it. Now i want to share the love !

Klaxons - Gravity's Rainbow (Nmedia Remix) - Another awsome remix of a Klaxon song. Is it the most remixed band of 2006? Anyways, whatever, keep'em commin' !

Justice - D.A.N.C.E. - HEY HEY! it leaked ! at last ! i hope you'll enjoy it!

Wu-Tang Clan - Aint Nuthin To Fuck With (Bird Peterson Remix) - Oh so gangsta remix of that song. You just want to grab your belt buckle and bust a c-walk over that flamin' hot 135 bpm of pure Ghetto goodness.

SHITDISCO - I Know Kung Fu (Nightmoves Remix)
- This song is just too cool. The remix is even cooler. Nightmoves, we love you.

Para One - Midnight Swim (Surkin Drowning Mix) - Surkin at it again, this kid can't get enough... i wonder when that liltle bastard is gonna come visit us here! Anyways, this remix is absolutely great, i suggest you grab it right now and pass it on!

Trentemoller - Take Me Into Your Skin (Nu Disco Edit) - Aaaaah, Trentemoller, what a genius. He is without any contest one of my favorite producer, he has so much skills, and so much class, he has multiple sounds. Anyways, enough cock sucking. Take Me Into Your Skin was one of the best track on the masterpiece that is Last Ressort (man i love that album) and Trentemoller takes it to another level.

datA - Master Level - datA !!!!!!!! the dude is back with a new track. And damn, that shit is tight like a 12 yr old!

Headman - On And On (Riot In Belgium Remix) - Loved that track so much i bought it on beatpotrt! Gotta support who keeps you moving. RiB is one of them

Daft Punk - Around The World (Killdahype Remix) - Amazing track! when i saw tis i was a liltle skeptical. but man! this rocked ! wow, i'll definatly spin that track in my next mix

Robyn - Konichiwa Bitches (Trentemoller Remix) - Trentemoller is most probably god.... be sure to listen to that song with your speakers and the subwoofer to the max!

SebastiAn - Greel - Ok... you most prolly already have it... but wtv... personally i dont like that song that much.... i prefere tracks like walkman or ross ross ross........... meh

!!! - Heart of Hearts (Crimp Yr Hair Remix) - !!! just released the LP Myth Takes, i liked it, didnt find it mind blowing though, but its a nice album. This Remix is a instrumental only version of the song, its basically what would happen if !!! would go electro.

Beck - Cellphone's Dead (Ellen Allien Remix) - Very nice remix from the Bpitch Control headboss Ellen Allien. Very relaxing (well i find).

New Young Pony Club - The Bomb (The Teenagers Crush LOU Remix) - NYPC is the new cool, and for good reasons. The new single the bomb.... is really a bomb... (...ok ive got nothing to say, i admit it)

Balkan Beat Box - Bulgarian Chicks (Featuring V. Tomova. M. Alexiava) - That is soooooo cool! its like traditional bulgarian music with a touch of electro! GENIUS! if you saw Borat you are just probably laugh....

Jazzanova - Boom Clicky Boom Klack (Mr. Scruff Vocal Mix) - I've always loved Mr Scruff, this guy is one of Ninja Tunes major artist. This remix is like a tribute to Deep House. Cool Stuff.

Tiga - You Gonna Want Me (Van She Tech Remix) - ok this is a crappy radio rip...im sorry... i can't find the song. But i felt like posting it because its a great remix, i hope it comes out soon on beatport

Stars - Sleep Tonight (Junior Boys Remix) - Lets end this music posting fury on a relaxed tone. This Junior Boys remix makes me wanna sleep (its actually a positive comment).

ENJOY ALL THIS CRAP!

Electro-Acoustics

...I finally applyed in Electro-Acoustics at Concordia... I now pray the gods of sound that they take me.

I submited a portfolio with some tracks i made
don't expect something mind blowing, or something very conventional, i just tried to compose some things with my very very limited technical knowledge of Ableton and Audacity:

1. 5 AM

2. JB Requiem

3. Aftermath

4. Incoherence

Bounce 'til your legs break

Well.... here's the weekly dose :

New Young Poney Club - The Bomb (Phones Edit) - The new Phone wonder. Dude i'd sooo want to see NYPC in live, and knowing that they now tour with Klaxons... would be neat... but those fuckers decided to stop everywhere but in Montreal. WRRRRYYYYY!

Justice - Phantom (Sidney Looper Remix) - Any guesses about what would phantom sound like if it was designed for Bmore dancefloors? well Sindney Looper gives you a hint. Nice job. Really bouncy.

LCD Soundsystem - Time To Get Away (William Russell Remix) - Another remix of a song on the brand new LCD Soundsystem album, Sound Of Silver. Wait why the hell do i say brand new... it's not even out yet ! I LIKE, HIGH FIVE!

datA - J'aime pas l'art (Remix 2007) - I guess the original version wasn't electro enough for datA... so he decided to give it a lifting. But the litle vocal is not there anymore, its a shame. But wtv its a bomb.

Surkin - Radio Fireworks (Riot In Belgium Remix) - Nice remix of Surkin's killer track Radio Fireworks by the Riot In Belgium folks.

Frankie Valli - Beggin' (pilooski edit) - This song is totally fucking awsome !!!!!!!! it justs makes you want to clap your hands and sing along. Seriously i've listened to it at least 9 times this week (thats a lot for my standards) and i still love it.

Fatboy Slim - Don't Let The Man Let You Down (Justice Remix) - OLD!!1!!1! i know i know... it's just a good song ok ? i felt like sharing

Rick Ross - Hustlin' (Sinden Bmore Remix) - Nice remix of Hustlin', if you like Bmore you will enjoy that.

Britney Spears - Me Against The Music (Justice Remix) - OLD!!1!!1! I KNOW THAT TOO... but like the other one ithink its a good Justice remixx... and yes its britney spears... but... wtv

Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc (Mcdj Remix) - At last, a good remix of Feel Good Inc.... jesus crist the other ones are crappy. I've just just came across this one, and i really like it.

[Special Relax Edition] Need Sleep

Sometimes you need to relax a bit, you know, quit listening to Justice for an hour or two... and i didn't wanted to post the typical loungy chillout, or the usual trip-hop or the typical Starbucks/The OC indie,
so here is what helps me chill out right now :

Windmill - Tokyo Moon - I really enjoy that song, there is a real vibe comming out of this song. Plus i like his voice, really special, very weird, but yet it goes with the overall vibe. Anyways, i really feel pumped up after listening to this song, like a big icy gust of wind in your face. Great stuff.

Marissa Nadler - Diamond Heart - Really cool song, kinda cute, perfect for a stressed person. Marissa Nadler as a great voice.

Julie Doiron - I Left Town - Acoustic guitar + Acadian woman = trucker stop show ? well not in that case, Julie Doiron plays in the same league as Marissa Nadler ( I personnally prefere marissa though)

Various - Hater - Well... the good ol' trip hop fans will be pleased with that song. Mellow black singer voice singing over a light but effecient beat made of claps, bass and a beeper. Kinda gives a blues/soul feeling to it. Really nice work

Gruff Rhys - Candylion - Superfurry Animals singer, Gruff Rhys has made an quite suprisingly good LP called Candylion, i enjoyed the whole CD. This song is the most relax song on the album. I like the vibe.

Faithless (feat. Cat Power) - A Kind Of Peace - Beautiful song, a dreamy guitar riff over a simple minimalist beat, the whole thing all tied together by the wonderfull voice of Cat Power. This is one of my fav of the list.

Fairmont - Pavement - Fairmont is a dude signed under Bpitch Control, his music his like..... well.... imagine Das Glow doing more relaxed things, that would be Fairmont. It's not really tech-house, it's not really chillout, it's not really electro, but it really is nice as fuck ! I really love that song, i love the synth, i love the glitches, i love how the whole thing is bundled altogether.

Feist - Mushaboom (Postal Service Remix) - This is the most violent song of the list. This song goes at a hight beat per minute rate, so its quite a fast song for a "relaxed" song. It's the Perfect song to transfer to harder musique to a chillout playlist though. On a striclty objective point of view it really is an awsome remix, very well done.

Don't Believe The Hype

Boys Noize's new single Don't Believe The Hype :

Boys Noize - Dont Believe The Hype

Also i'm posting the Surkin remix, the last version i've posted is a mixed version taken from the "Alors Les Filles On Fete Noel" mixtape
so enjoy the unmixed one :

Boys Noize - Don't Believe The Hype (Surkin Remix)

.

Zamboni Le Effet !

David Byrne, of Talking Heads fame, set up a radio. What a heard 'til now it's pretty rad, sometimes it does get very "iconoclastic". I expected he would go in 'worldly' music and I've been pretty much satisfied yet. If only europeans and americans could stop using that 'world music' étiquette one day... Byrne's fighting for it since 77.

the radio in question can be listened here: http://www.davidbyrne.com/radio/index.php

Enjoy!

YUKSEK YOU FUCKIN ROCK !!!

I really love his work, I've blogged this dude before... but I ran accross that remix of the Brice Lee song called Spam...... and it rocked my socks soooooo hard i thought it diserved a post for itself
MAN this shit is fuckin epic

CRAZY organ action
I hope you'll enjoy it as much as i do:

Brice Lee
Spam (Yuksek Remix)

Bonus :

Yuksek - Little Dirty Trip

.

I'm kinda sick from drinking not not enought so i don't feel like writting much.. but all the songs are DL worthy

Djuma Soundsystem - Les Djins (Trentemøller Remix)
- Trentemøller is a semi-god, everyone knows that, this remix is neat, elegant, classy, the perfect song to get you chillin' like a villain yo.

P. Diddy (feat. Christina Aguilera) - Tell Me (Switch Remix)
- The brand new Switch remix for the upcoming P. Diddy album... this album is gonna be sooooo lame... fortunatly we have top notch remixers like switch to set higher standards. But this is by far not the best Switch remix... it's cool but... not that rad... (if that makes any sens)

Justice - Phantom (Ca$hmere Remix) - Some nice person linked that song in the com section of an other post, and i like this ghetto-ish colour that Ca$mere gave to Phantom

Dj Assault - Yo Relatives - This is a nice song from Mr Assault where he is saying nice things about your familly... (dont spin that song in Italy...... At best you'll get killed)

Midnight Juggernauts - Tombstone
- Those crazy aussies are busting out thevocoder, the keyboards and the guitars to give us a nice chunk of sound.

DJ Mehdi - Signatune (Thomas Banglater Edit V2) - Thomas Banglater is giving Mehdi an edit, just from listening to the kick you know it's Banglater's work. Nice banger

T Palmer - Tasteless
- Cool Ghettotech

Rich Boy - Throw Some Ds (Starkey Mix) - "THROW SOME DEEEEEZ ON DA BITCH" very gangsta, i like the beat it's original

Boys Noize - Don't Believe The Hype (Surkin Remix)
- Another wonder from the little Institubes prodigy

Yoko Ono (feat. Peaches) - Kiss Kiss Kiss - Yes.... its THE Yoko Ono... ya she is back... and with a LP "Yes I'm A Witch" that apears to be really good..... and godamn you can tell the hippy days are over (YESSSSSS).

Justin Timberlake - SexyBack (Linus Loves Remix)
- "not another Justin Timberlake remix" well... ya another one.... and i find it's a good version. And i promise (i'll try) to not post any justin remixes anymore.

KIM - Wet'n Wild (Riot In Belgium Remix) - KIM is half of the Presets, and Riot In Belgium are awsome remixers. The reciepe for success.

The Avalanches - Ray Of Zdarlight
- Basically this is a funkadelic remix of Digitalism's Zdarlight. Very cool I like it very much. The upcoming Avalanches LP appears to be made of things like that. I can't wait until it's done.

Kaspar Schadenfreude - Sex Spastik (Matty's Only 4 Casper mix)
- Big major lifting of Tom Jones' Sex Bomb... not that much of a great track but it's very funny to drop in a mix.

Klaxons - Golden Skans (Surkin Remix) - Another Surkin remix.... Very Very Very cool

Brice Lee - Spam (Invaders Remix)
- another remix of Spam... Invaders is the shit

ya i know i didn't talked much... wtv shut up and dance

The Killers - Bones (Tiga's Funky Depechemode Basseline Remix)

Well well i've just finished to listen to the last Sid Loves Turbo podcast mixed by Tiga, and our man drops one of the two versions, and the title i've put for the song is just issued from Tiga's own words to describe the remix, i'll change it when i know the real title

The Killers - Bones (Tiga's Funky Depechemode Basseline Remix) (Podcast rip) - 128 kbps

oh and btw Tim Burton made the videoclip for the original song! rad eh?... i hate the killers though i really loath that band

Morning Funk

Bonde Do Role - Gasolina (Scottie B & King Tutt Remix) - The brazilians Bonde Do Role are dropping a new single, "Gasolina", and NO its not a remake of the dance-hall-cholo-shit you know frome the radio IT'S NOT, and that's for the best. Anyways this is a bailfunk remix. Neat stuff.

Justice - D.A.N.C.E. (bbc rip) - Soooooooo ya.... Justice has a new track and it sounds... quite disturbing... ZOMG DISCO *runs to put the good ol' disco ball back on the ceiling*. The quality of the rip is pretty shitty. Whatever we'll get a better one when Justice put the track up on myspace, and then an even better one when it comes out !
In a way it's good that Justice changes their sound a bit, i mean they can't keep doing this over-stretched over-distorded sound forever... well of course they could, but hey... it would be boring. Look at metal... Evolve or disapear...

Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (Alavi Rerox) - ................. murder, total slaughter, someone call the cops.... hey, after all isnt there laughter in "slaughter".... if you were a die hard fan of Nirvana you will OR bust in tear OR laugh your ass off.... my belly is still hurting

Disco D feat. Spank Rock - Get It On The Floor
(Them Jeans Remix) - All the blog community is mourning Disco D that decided that suicide was the new cool..... drugs are bad MKAY?... so that little genius and pioneer of ghetto tech is dead.... at 27.... thats so fucking stupid....
on topic now : Get It On The Floor was a ghettotech anthemn and Them Jeans decided to make it a liltle more punchy... man thats a crazy remix

Trick Daddy - Suck On The Clit (Them Jeans Remix) - The title is oh sooo subltile and shows how sensible Trick Daddy is.... it's almost the Ghetto version of emo...

Surkin - Play Do (DC90 Edit) - That edit is violent.... really violent... if you're listening to the song and at one point you will be "oh my god I think i just got bit, BACK OFF YOU BEAST" *uses bear repelent pepperspray on the computer*

Pass Out Boys - Sound of the Chain Gang (Bmorefix) - HI-LA-RIOUS (well I find), its like "pimp my 40's song please" it's really worth listening to it. Them Jeans is at work in there too.

Mapei - Date Rape - Unusual sound, unusual flow, but yet its dancefloor friendly, cool stuff

All Saints - Chick Fit (Kissy Sellout Remix) - All Saints are getting it again.... nice remix by the crazy english Dj, Kissy Sellout.

Zamboni Effect: Maxe Panic (LE RETURNE)

So basically, PTF has been consistant and wildy and inconsciously proclamed that i have nothing to say about the electro stuff.
Since the big stuff is in Paris now...and PTF keep talking about it and forgetting about another cool city. let's talk about London and how it used to be joyfull back in the middle/end 90s. Way before you could say Klaxons ( a month now) there was Pulp and Blur, and they made their own beautiful fuck you to utilitarism.

(SHUT UP AND DANCE)

Then and Now style

Pulp

Then: Pulp - Disco 2000. I wish someone make a good remix of that song in a SebastiAn-esque way. Maybe PTF will care about my wishes. oh and i want a How Soon is Now remix too. and some hot chocolate, with chantilly.

Now: Jarvis Cocker - Cunt's are still running the world. Yeah he's right. Good ol' Jarvis.

Blur

Then: London loves - I am going to London, as a senior correspondent, I am already in love with the city. and Blur.

Now: Gorillaz - Dare (soulwax remix) - The mastermind behind DARE is Albarn and Dander Mouse, with Ryder on the vocals and his thick mancunian accent. but oh wait, Soulwax

Oasis:

oh well, fuck them. (muahaha)

Both now and then:
The Automatic - Monster (Fatboy Slim Remix). Clash between past and present. Nice stuff.

Bl0gg1ng iz s3r10|_|s bu1zn3ss

Well .... between you and me....
since i can't sleep i might as well blog some shit up!

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Cold Light (Les Petits Pilous Remix) - Oh well......... i hope the YYYs can bare raw lube-free anal rape because Les Petits Plious just destroyed the shit out of that song. AND IT'S GOOD.

Vegastar - Elle Blesse (Para One Remix) - Oh man...... wow..... this is awsome, you just want to jump around and spin until you want to puke, I serioulsy think i'd make an heart attack if this is played in a set. THANK YOU PARA ONE for another electro wonder.

Tepr - Minuit Jacouzzi (datA remix) - Look, it's simple, basic mathematics : Tepr = awsome and datA = genius so logically a datA remix of the best track on the En Direct De La Cote album made by Tepr... simply pure gold

Thunderheist - Horny - Simply ghetto-pimpilicious-groovy-tech, i saw them at Peer Pressure's Showtime, it was really nice, well the singer, Isis, couldnt stop interupting her songs to kick ppl of the stage and complain about her Dj messing up cues... but hey... cocaine is helluva drug

Sharon Phillips - Want 2 Need 2 (Trentemøller Remix) - Well another Trentemøller wonder.... the sound isnt the same as the usual, its more Switch-like, but it conserves the usual cachet. Classy remix to make you sweat all night long

Van She - Aretha (Van She Tech ESB Remix) - ok i maybe have the ID wrong.... but wtv who ever do that remix as done a cool job. This is the perfect track to throw just before an monster-track like a Justice or wtv. (will very ID later now im a bit tired)

And to conclude a Classic that made me jump all summer :

Daft Punk - Prime Time Of Your Life (Para One Remix)

Possibly one the best Para One remixes ever, and most probably one of the best remixes of a Daft Punk song. People go CRAZY on that track

a bit like this.............

but they look cleaner and they are happy, and they sing and they are drunk....

A lot of good (kinda)new stuffs :

Justin Timberlake - My Love (Like Whoa! Edit)
- There is probably 3646235324 version of My Love floating around ze interwebz but this edit is worth the DL

Klaxons - Golden Skans
- Klaxons have become an enormous phenomenon, starter of what is called the new wave, those brats are cooking a nice LP, Golden Skans is a pop masterpiece, i really like that song

Klaxons - Golden Skans (SebastiAn Version 1.2.0 Remix) - I've only heard two remixes of Golden Skans, the Erol Alkan one and the SebastiAn one... I wonder if there are any other? anyways, this SebastiAn remix is like a different version of Timbaland's beat of My love, an Ed Bangerized one. Definatly a good remix. and what's up with SebastiAn recently he is not mutilation the songs like he use to do... in search of a new sound?

The Black Ghost - Face - The Black Ghost's first single, Face, is an electro-pop-rock wonder, but what's even more wonderful is the lineup of DJ's present on the single remixing the song : Switch, Kissy Sell Out, The Little Digitals, The Teenagers, Charlie Fanclub and Philipe De Boyar

The Black Ghost - Face (Switch Remix)
- Probably the best remix on the single, starts by a big WTF IS THAT MESS then it becomes pure dance craze, this is the pure club banger, i love that track, and i would sell my kids to see Switch live.

The Black Ghost - Face (Philipe De Boyar Remix) - Philipe De Boyar is the biggest surprise of the Face single, i've never heard of that crazy swiss, but that shit's crazy son, i love that sound! some give this guy an invitation to the Neon Nights right away!

L.Vis - Uptown VIP - L.Vis is a mate of Curtis Vodka, they work for the same label, i like this song, basically it's a loop for the Shakira song Hips Don't Lie the whole transformed into Ghetto-Tec !

Ca$mere - Le France Gall
- This is a really fun remix of a France Gall song, if you loath french pop and in particular the 70-80's pop you'll find this really amusing.

Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Gold Lion (Diplo Mix) - If you have a TV or a radio well you most probably heard the original...... well the original is not that bad, the clip is kinda good even if the guitar smashing is kinda cliché and out since 1994, like the song... THX NIRVANA, but hey, im a music taliban so dont listen to me, what do i know eh? oh now that i think of it, it remembers me Fly Away By Lenny Kravitz (1998), man I LOVE THAT SONG!
ANYWAYS, I really enjoy the remix, Diplo is a producer that will maybe one day reach the same notoriety that Timbaland. And at least he remixes the song to make it sound actual, not the ten years ago ripoffkindofsound.
